If anyone wants to know why it is I still keep up with this blog - six months after the election, almost three months since the inauguration - or why I still send out emails about stimulus packages, budget fights, food bank drives, marriage equality or the state of California politics.........

Barack Obama was in Strasbourg, France, giving a speech that may go down in history as the moment that the "re-boot" button was pushed on American relations with Europe. The era of "You are with us, or you are with the terrorists" is over.
