Early on in the general election, a lot of folks asked why I was supporting Barack Obama for president.
The answer was simple: because he had the courage to say what no other candidate would - that no one person had the power to turn this country around, and it would take each and every one of us doing our part to make that happen. We would take this historic journey together, and as partners, change the world.
On the 100th day of his presidency, Barack Obama is asking us to take that first step along the path. Please attend an Organizing For America meeting near you. OFA representatives will tell you about some lessons learned during the general election, and ask for your thoughts on how we can organize California going forward. Your ideas will be used to write a California-specific plan for Organizing for America in 2009 and beyond.
Come and make your voice heard!
