Folks, I'm just blown away by your commitment, passion and stamina.
Over 50 of you joined us yesterday at the Abbot Kinney Festival and spent all day registering voters from all over Southern California. Despite the record heat and the smaller than expected crowds, by the end of the day you had registered over 300 new and lapsed voters. Overwhelmingly, the voters we registered were Democrats ready, willing and eager to vote in November.
I know some of you were frustrated that you weren't able to sign up more voters, but please remember, collectively you talked to thousands of folks as you worked the crowd, reminding and encouraging them they needed to get to the polls in November.
Thanks to you, we're one step closer to defeating Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina in the fall. There's even more to be done, and you'll be getting information from me in the coming weeks of other volunteer opportunities. Together, you will make a real difference.
