Fed Up With The Tea Party? Don't Retreat, RECALL!

If you've been following the news out of Washington the last couple of weeks, you probably feel like I do about now: that the American Dream we rekindled in 2008 has turned into a Tea-Party fueled nightmare of austerity and attacks on the middle class.

But I'm here to tell you, now is not the time to give up. We still have a chance to save the American Dream.

In less than a week, Wisconsin voters will be going to the polls next Tuesday, and on August 16th to recall six Tea Party state senators in Wisconsin and replace them with Democrats.

If Wisconsin Democrats win just three of those seats, not only will they regain control of the state legislature and block Governor Walker's radical agenda, they will send a strong message to Washington that grassroots Democrats are a force to be reckoned with.

The polls are looking good, but Democratic organizers are facing some challenges - Republican operatives are pouring millions into the race, the headquarters for grassroots organizers was destroyed in a suspicious fire, and a conservative group admits sending out absentee ballots to Democrats with the wrong date on them.

So I'm asking you to join with Wisconsin teachers, firefighters, students and grassroots organizers to fight these dirty tricks and reclaim the American Dream.

MAKE CALLS!
Voter turnout is key.
Can you take 30 minutes on your lunch break to help get out the vote?

DONATE!
$5, $10, $20, $100 - whatever you can afford. Your donations will go to organizers on the ground and to media campaigns.

DON'T RETREAT, RECALL!

  1. Dirty socialists, Union scumbuckets, LeftLibProggs, all of you are neo-Marxists and the closest to Communism we'll get without toppling the Republic; you and yours are anathema to what this Republic once stood for. I for one will gladly see you out the door. You don't belong in this here nation; North Korea, China or perhaps Venezuela you'd find to be a better ideological fit.

  2. LOL You sir are Communism, if you think that removing someone's bargaining rights is okay, that is dictatorship. Not a democracy!

  3. I've no problem with Unions that are not in the Public Sector. Public Sector unions strike not against 'Koch Brothers' but against Taxpayers. Why should those Public Sector Unionists be exempt from budget constraints? What gives them the right to put themselves above the rest of the taxpayers?

And, they are bedded with LeftLibProgg DEMOCRATS; their dues monies go to DEMOCRATS ALONE, which makes them a necessary political wing of a now Far-Left party, which puts them at odds with well over half the nation. Forbid Public Sector Unions from donating monies to Democrats or Republicans, I'd be a little less harsh on them. But now, they, like Democrats, are the ENEMY.

  4. If that's what someone told you, they are lies, the union was going to do know such thing, many of his voters were members of this union, and I'm not sure what you mean by public sector, this was a union for public jobs, police, firemen. Turn off your TV they are lying to you! COMMIE!!!

  5. You know little about your own union, missy. A public-sector union is comprised of people who work for the public-sectors (teachers, firefighters, cops &c). You didn't know that?

Here's some questions you should be able to answer:
    1) When were public sector unions brought into being, and by whom?

    2) Why do public sector unions always jump in bed with Democrats; and, since they work for public dollars, those dollars are then used to support only ONE of the TWO political parties, why is that fair?

    3) Traditional labor unions in America have been known to be involved with the mob (have you found Jimmy Hoffa yet?); they are known for thuggery, intimidation, political machinations, and abuse of their own people who don't 'fall in line' with union-boss demands. Why should we allow that in the public sector?

    4) Who said this: "The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives in Congress. Accordingly, administrative officials and employees alike are governed and guided, and in many instances restricted, by laws which establish policies, procedures, or rules in personnel matters. Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of government employees." Since your google-fu is obviously weak, that was FDR, Democrat, crown prince of LeftLibProggs. He opposed public sector unions, rightly so.

They should be smashed, nationwide, for the benefit of all the people.

  7. Well said, Serr8d. It is frightening how ill-informed many who blindly support public sector unions are. The class-warfare tactics used by union and democratic leaders to fire up their lemmings have taken the focus off the real issues here.

  8. Answer 1. Likely the AFT founded in 1916. It was formed by teachers from the Chicago area and chartered by the AFL. The first unions that bargained with Government were in the 60s and started in WIS.

Answer 2. This is a large misconception. Though it is commonplace for most Teacher’s Unions to donate to “mostly” Democrats on the Federal level, they donate equally to both parties on the State and local levels. Both parties receive donations from unions and public sector employees.

Answer 3. Another misconception. That is judging the many by the misdeeds of a few. Unions have done many good things in this country as well. 40 hour work weeks, minimum wages, worker rights, worker safety, etc. in both the private and public sectors. Also, when you consider the early time period of the early Teamsters, corruption was already rampant. The only way to successfully achieve any rights for labor was to not only work with civil authorities, but with the Mob, who controlled (Or relied on) much of US industry.

  9. I agree with FDR on Public Unions, this is why it took about 20 years after his presidency for unions to begin bargaining with the Government. But this is the wrong time and the wrong place and the wrong method to move on the issue. The people who are making and funding this move are not the tax payers. The polls show this clearly as will the election on Tuesday. The people making these attacks are Corporate Fat Cats, the fascist Oligarchs, like the Koch Brothers.

Corporations and other such entities should not have such influence. They are not individuals like you or me. They crush our individual liberties with these actions and by spending more than what 98% of individual citizens could ever dream of to influence public opinion and legislative action.

    Who made these statements?
"There is an evil which ought to be guarded against in the indefinite accumulation of property from the capacity of holding it in perpetuity by...corporations. The power of all corporations ought to be limited in this respect. The growing wealth acquired by them never fails to be a source of abuses."
“It is ESSENTIAL to such a government that it be derived from the great body of the society, not from an inconsiderable proportion, or a favored class of it; otherwise a handful of tyrannical nobles, exercising their oppressions by a delegation of their powers, might aspire to the rank of republicans, and claim for their government the honorable title of republic.”

Bet you don’t know, I’ll give you a hint, it wasn’t a socialist.

This is class warfare. The corporate Aristocracy has been chipping away at natural rights of individual citizens of the middle class for 30 years. Funny how when people begin to fight back you cons claim class warfare. Only one class is being attacked by another, and the middle is not doing the attacking. With every piece of legislation they influence both parties in Government with; they take more and more power from the people and consolidate into their own hands, the hands of the few. This is the essence of fascism and oligarchy and it’s effect is plutocracy.

People elect leaders, leaders pass laws. This is a Republic so the rule of law holds things in sway through a legislative process of democratically elected official’s right? Nope, corporation claims the laws violate their rights as “Persons” and Corporations successfully subvert the will of the people and the law of the Republic. Now they are doing it in WIS. The guys funding this attack on the WIS unions don’t care about Roosevelt’s concerns, or tenure and other education issues, their ultimate goal is privatization of the education system and larger tax breaks for themselves. Walker simply needs to cut somewhere to give those breaks and education market shares to them.

  10. "Dirty socialists, Union scumbuckets, LeftLibProggs, all of you are neo-Marxists and the closest to Communism we'll get without toppling the Republic; you and yours are anathema to what this Republic once stood for. "

And what about you Fascist? A republic is about he rule of Law, not expanding corporate power over laws passed by it's citizens.
On Tuesday the people of WIS will decide the matter not the Corporations and that is what really what fascists like you are angry about.
You come here and talk smack about us. Feel free, mean while we are going to go take some of our senate seats back. Maybe you should be protecting your camp rather than attacking ours, you're about to loose.
