Join The Impact: A National Day Of Protest For Civil Rights This Saturday, November 15

November 4th was a bitter-sweet celebration for our Gay and Lesbian brothers and sisters. Even as they worked to take back our country, Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, and California passed initiatives to take away their civil rights.

President-elect Obama publicly opposed California's Proposition 8, saying he instead favored extending "fully equal rights and benefits to same-sex couples under both state and federal law."

"And that is why I oppose the divisive and discriminatory efforts to amend the California Constitution, and similar efforts to amend the U.S. Constitution or those of other states,"

Folks, let's follow his example. Our work on the Obama campaign taught us we have the power to change the world. So please join us this day to peacefully celebrate the lives and rights of all our citizens!
